The article stated,
"“The Annenberg Challenge records only serve to establish clearly that while Barack Obama and Ayers had occasional contact during Obama’s six years of service on the bipartisan board, they did not work closely together to exchange and develop policy ideas. In fact, as these same records show, Ayers attended a total six meetings of the board during the six years of Obama’s board service.”
What this article does not mention is that Barack Obama's wife, Michelle, worked with Bernandine Dohrn at the same law firm before she and Barack were married. Barack Obama joined the same law firm, Sidley and Austin, a year later and that's how he and Michelle met. Bernadine Dohrn is the wife of Bill Ayers and a member of the Weather Underground. The law firm hired Dohrn despite being turned down by the Bar Association character committee for her past criminal activity.
This association clearly goes beyond "occassional contact." It may not be all that the Republicans allege, but it is certainly is more than Obama is admitting.
